# Keep a portable copy in your own R2

Eligible Workspaces can now keep a portable copy of their content in a Cloudflare R2 bucket they control.

## What changed

- Connect Cloudflare and choose an account, bucket, and root folder.
- Copy Markdown and referenced Assets while Letter.md remains the collaboration source.
- Pause new writes without disconnecting the storage location.
- Check storage health and reconnect when authorization changes.
- Prevent silent location changes when existing content depends on the connection.

Custom R2 availability depends on the current plan and Workspace configuration.
