# Workspaces and real-time collaboration

Letter.md workspaces now provide a clear ownership and collaboration boundary for a body of work.

## What changed

- Invite people into a workspace with scoped roles and permissions.
- Edit the same Markdown document together through real-time collaboration.
- Keep documents, folders, Assets, publications, and storage under one workspace.
- Share individual documents or folders without exposing unrelated content.
- Recover local edits when a connection is interrupted and synchronize them after reconnecting.

Workspace membership and public publishing remain separate permissions.
